Referrals

When you submit an enquiry, we pass your details to one or more independent carpenters so they can contact you about your project. Carpenters are separate businesses, not our employees or agents. Any quote, contract, warranty, approval and building work is between you and the carpenter you choose. We aren’t a party to it, and we aren’t responsible for their work, advice, products or conduct. The statutory warranties under the Building Work Contractors Act 1995 (SA) and the Australian Consumer Law are given by the carpenter, not by us.

“Recommended” means a carpenter met our referral criteria (a current South Australian building work contractor licence and public liability insurance) when we added them to our referral list. It isn’t a guarantee of their work. Before you go ahead, check their licence on the Consumer and Business Services website, ask for a current certificate of insurance, and get the price, inclusions and timeline in writing.
